ABSTRACT:
A method for forming photographic images of particularly improved sharpness in which a photographic element is developed in the presence of an alkylene oxide polymer and a compound of the general formula ##STR1## wherein Q represents the atoms required to form an optionally substituted, defined heterocyclic ring and R is as defined in the specification, or a compound of the general formula ##STR2## wherein W is a sulfur, selenium or oxygen atom or a group >N--R.sub.3, R.sub.1, R.sub.2, and R.sub.3 each is an optionally substituted, defined alkyl group and Z represents the atoms required to form an optionally substituted, defined heterocyclic ring.
