ABSTRACT:
Apparatus for continuously depositing a liquid reaction mixture onto continuously moving sheet material which comprises a delivery device having one or more distributors attached to a carriage capable of traversing the moving sheet material in a reciprocating motion, wherein the distributor or distributors are feedably connected to one or more stationary mixing heads. The apparatus is particularly useful for backing 4 to 51/2 mm. wide carpet at speeds of from 3 to 6 mm/min. with a flexible foam mix to a foam depth of up to 4 mm.
