ABSTRACT:
An electric dental care device with a care head7oscillatingly driven about a rotational axis DVpowered by a rotating driving shaft2. One end of driving shaft2has a driving element17disposed eccentrically to the rotational axis of the driving shaft2.The driving element17engages a recess of a force converter to convert the rotational force of the driving element17into an oscillatory turning movement of the care head7. The force converter comprises a gymballed conversion element6which engages and supports the driving element17. The rotational axes DH, DVof the two gymbal bearings of the conversion element6are disposed to form a right. The conversion element6is swivellably supported by a mounting8about a first rotational axis DH. The mounting8is supported turnably about the second rotational axis DVand carries the care head7.
