ABSTRACT:
The present invention is directed to a dendritic polyamidoamine phthalocyanine derivative which is useful as, for example, a fluorescent material or a photodynamic therapeutic drug for cancer. The derivative is represented by the following formula (1):(wherein each member of one to eight of R1to R8is a polyamidoamine dendron represented by the following formula (a):(wherein p is a number from 1 to 4; R9represents —NH(CH2)tNH2or OR10(wherein R10represents an alkyl group); and each of l, m, q, and t is a number from 1 to 8), and each member of the remainder represents a hydrogen atom; M represents a metal atom having a valency of two or more; and a ring marked with (N) is a benzene ring, a pyridine ring, or a pyrazine ring).
