ABSTRACT:
A reciprocating piston internal combustion engine comprises a cylinder having opposed ends, a piston reciprocably mounted in the cylinder, a connecting rod having a crank journal end and a piston journal end, the connecting rod connected to the piston at the piston journal end by means for first and second wrist pins spaced longitudinally along the rod, the first wrist pin journaled in a bore in the piston and in a slot in the piston rod, and the second wrist pin journaled in a bore in the piston rod and a longitudinal slot in the piston.
