ABSTRACT:
1,1,1-Trichloro-2,2-bis(4-hydroxyphenyl)ethane can be dehydrohalogenated to 1,1-dichloro-2,2-bis(4-hydroxyphenyl)ethylene by treating the former with liquid ammonia.
