Deflection system for a gas stream11in an exhaust nozzle10of a flying craft, comprising fixed structural housings18,20which extend perpendicularly to the gas stream11and which are fed with deflection gas through one of their ends external to the nozzle10, these housings18,20containing in their side walls22,28gas injection slits23,30oriented in oblique directions24,26relative to the gas stream11, and controlled means for the adjustable closure of these slits23,30.
