ABSTRACT:
A decurl roller22of a decurl unit20is an axially rotatable member that eliminates curl of printing paper24drawn out of roll paper holders21b. The decurl roller22is pressed by tension springs23b, which are respectively spanned between the periphery of a roll paper shaft21aof roll paper21and a roller shaft22aof the decurl roller22, to be continuously in contact with a cylindrical face of the roll paper21wound in a cylindrical roll. The decurl roller22moves to approach the roll paper shaft21awith a decrease in remaining amount of the roll paper21. As the remaining amount of the roll paper21decreases, the decurl roller22linearly moves along guide rails23c, which are formed in support members23a, toward an eccentric position from the roll paper shaft21ato increase a contact area and a contact angle ∠PQR of the decurl roller22with the printing paper24.
