ABSTRACT:
A DC-DC converter for overvoltage protection is provided with a primary control circuit12which comprises an impedance controller31and a protective circuit41for ceasing operation of primary control circuit12when power source voltage VCCon primary control circuit12exceeds a predetermined voltage level. Impedance controller31comprises a potential detector32for picking out power source voltage VCCto primary control circuit12to produce a detection signal; and an impedance adjuster33for adjusting power input impedance Z in primary control circuit12in response to the detection signal from potential detector32to repress rapid rise in power source voltage on primary control circuit12.
