ABSTRACT:
An auxiliary resonance type DC/DC converter which is compact, inexpensive and highly efficient is provided. In a step-down type DC/DC converter15, comprising two main switches1and2connected between input terminals11and12and a smoothing reactor Lo connected between a junction M of the main switches1and2and an output terminal14, an auxiliary resonance circuit10in which a resonance reactor Lr and an auxiliary switch3are connected in series is provided between the junction M and the output terminal14and, moreover, capacitors C1and C2for resonance are provided in parallel to the main switches1and2, respectively. The auxiliary switch3is turned on when the main switch2is turned off and the main switch1is turned on, and the electrical energy is supplied from the output terminal14to the resonance reactor Lr, then, the main switch1is turned on when a voltage Vds across the main switch1falls to zero due to the resonance of Lr and C1and C2.
