ABSTRACT:
This invention provides a day
ight outdoor mirror for a vehicle in which the mirror is of the remote-operable type manipulated by Bowden cables at least some of which are clamped on the exterior and under compression between the clamp and the support member for the mirror so that a resilient biasing force is imposed on the support member. The device includes a pivotal mounting means for the support member, an additional Bowden cable for rotating the support member in opposition to the resilient biasing force to shift the mirror to a second angular position, and an operating element which incorporates a detent to hold the mirror in the adjusted position.
