ABSTRACT:
The invention provides a data recording/reproducing apparatus for recording and reproducing data on and from a disklike recording medium while rotating the disklike recording medium by a spindle motor having ball bearings. In this apparatus, the ratio of the number of revolutions (the frequency of a minimum-frequency vibration component of a non-repeatable vibration) of each ball in the ball bearings, to the number of rotations (the rotational frequency) of the spindle motor is substantially set to 1
, and servo track writing is performed in synchronism with every n rotations of the spindle motor.
