ABSTRACT:
The present invention enables device downsizing by utilizing a light-emitting diode as a plurality of interfaces. A light-emitting diode11of a data communication unit using a light-emitting diode for data communication outputs light when a current flows therethrough. A transmission circuit13applies a forward bias to the light-emitting diode11based on transmission data. A separation circuit14outputs a voltage that changes according to a voltage which is generated in the light-emitting diode11when the transmission circuit13does not apply the forward bias to the light-emitting diode11.
