ABSTRACT:
Coil springs33and36couple input and output rotary members2and3together such that they can rotate relative to each other. The coil springs33and36have a torsion characteristic having a positive region and a negative region that has a lower rigidity than the positive region. A second friction generating section71is arranged such that friction is generated rotationally-between the input rotary member2and the output rotary member3due to the elastic force of the coil springs33and36when the two rotary members2and3rotate relative to each other. A friction suppressing mechanism secures rotational gaps91and92on only the negative side of the torsion characteristic. These rotational gaps serve to prevent the elastic force of the coil springs33and36from acting on the second friction generating section71within a prescribed angular range.
