ABSTRACT:
D-Homo-4,17-androstadien-3-one is a pharmacologically effective compound having antiandrogenic activity upon topical application. The compound can be prepared from D-homo-5,17-androstadien-3.beta.-ol by oxidation with simultaneous isomerization of the 5(6)-double bond.
