ABSTRACT:
D-amino acid analogs in positions 1,2,4 and 5 of .beta.-endorphin are synthesized by solid phase techniques. These compounds and, particularly [D-Ala.sup.2 ]-.beta.-endorphin, exhibit opiate agonist and analgesic activity.
