Cylinder and rollers for printing machines such as offset cylinders, impression cylinders, form cylinders and dampening rollers. The cylinder or roller has a core or cylinder proper, and a layer thereon which is inseparable from the cylinder proper. This layer has a thickness of 0.05 to 0.6 mm.
This layer may consist of a metal alloy selected from the group of nickel-chromium and nickel-chromium-boron-silicon.
