ABSTRACT:
Compounds of the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sup.2 represents an .alpha.-branched alkyl group containing from 3 to 6 carbon atoms, and R represents either (a) hydroxy, halo or alkoxy of up to six carbon atoms, or (b) the group --OR.sup.1 where R.sup.1 is the residue of an alcohol of formula R.sup.1 OH which forms an insecticidal ester with chrysanthemic acid, permethrin acid or cyhalothrin acid. Methods for using these compounds to combat insect and acarine pests, as well as novel intermediates, are also disclosed.
