ABSTRACT:
C.sub.5 -C.sub.10 cycloalkanes (preferably methylcyclopentane) are isomerized in the presence of a catalyst comprising aluminum chloride and at least one of the following materials: boron phosphate on silica, boron phosphate on activated carbon, boron sulfate on silica.
