ABSTRACT:
Alkali metal dichloroisocyanurates are instantly and quantitatively prepared by reacting cyanuric acid with an alkali metal hypochlorite in an aqueous reaction medium having a cyanuric acid to alkali metal hypochlorite mole ratio of 1:2.0 to 2.2, a pH value of 6.5 to 11.0 and a temperature from 10.degree. C. to 55.degree. C.
