ABSTRACT:
There are disclosed a novel cyan dye-forming coupler and a silver halide photographic light-sensitive material containing the novel coupler represented by the following Formulas I to V: ##STR1## wherein R represents a substituent; Y represents a substituent having a Hammett's substituent constant .sigma.p of not less than 0.3 and not more than 1.5; Z represents the group of atoms necessary to form a 5 to 7-membered nitrogen-containing heterocyclic ring; l, m and n are the integers of 0 to 4, 0 to 5 and 0 to 3, respectively; and X represents a hydrogen atom or a substituent capable of splitting off upon a reaction with an oxidation product of a developing agent.
