ABSTRACT:
A cutting insert used for cutting metal, especially for milling camshafts. The insert comprises at least one cutting edge that is formed by the intersection of a face with a flank. The cutting edges extend at an angle deviating from 90 degrees relative to the cutting direction of the cutting insert in order to reduce the noise level during machining.
