ABSTRACT:
A cutting arrangement for a filament monitoring system for use in a draw-twister and the like comprises a gripping member, a cutting member and an intermediate filament guide, all of which are mounted on a spring actuated slide. Actuation of the slide causes the gripping member and cutting member to grip and cut the filament, the filament guide maintaining the filament in proper position.
