ABSTRACT:
A piezoelectric crystal element comprising a member of monocrystalline material of symmetry class 32 has two force introduction surfaces essentially parallel to a crystallographic `a`-axis but inclined with respect to the `c`-axis so as to intersect the latter at a specific angle e.g. 10.degree. to 40.degree. to considerably reduce over a desired temperature range the temperature dependence of transverse of antiaxial shear sensitivity.
