ABSTRACT:
A wire member50is received in a flexible part22of an endoscope20and adapted to remotely curvilinearly control a bendable part27at a distal end of the flexible insertion part22. The wire member50includes a braid51braiding from a plurality of resin fibers and an adhesive agent52impregnated in the braid51and hardened. The impregnating and hardening of the adhesive agent52are carried out in a state where the braid51is applied with a tensile force having a predetermined magnitude.
