ABSTRACT:
Brooms made of synthetic fibers and having the necessary characteristics to be used for curling. Brooms of synthetic fibers wherein the essentially non-springiness of such fibers is compensated by inserting a resilient means within the bundle of fibers, such means being arranged to produce whipping as the usual curling broom without marring the ice. A flexible sheet is inserted between each side of the resilient means and the fibers. The fibers are loosely stitched or bound together to permit fiber flexing.
