ABSTRACT:
A novel zeolitic molecular sieve composition denominated Upsilon is synthesized from aqueous gels in the Na.sub.2 O--Al.sub.2 O.sub.3 --SiO.sub.2 system. The molecular sieve has a pore diameter of about 3.5 Angstroms, a characteristic x-ray diffraction pattern and a composition expressed in moles of oxides as:
