ABSTRACT:
A novel crystalline modification of 2-dimethylaminoethyl-n-butylaminobenzoate hydrochloride is characterized by a melting point of 148.6.degree..+-.0.3.degree. C. and has an interplanar spacing d and relative intensities defined herein, and a method for making said crystal. The compound of the invention is has local anaesthetic activity and is an active principle of a pharmaceutical preparation for the eyes.
