The invention relates to the crystalline form of the hydrochloride of the compound -aminomethyl}-chroman, which is present as a stable form at room temperature. The crystalline modification V of the hydrochloride is suitable in particular for the preparation of solid medicaments, in particular of medicaments for the treatment of neuronal degenerations.
