ABSTRACT:
A crosslinked polyvinyl alcohol gel having vinyl alcohol units and crosslinking units having the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1, R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 are respectively the same or different and selected from the group consisting of --CH.sub.2 --CH.dbd.CH.sub.2, --CH.sub.2 --CH.tbd.CH and ##STR2## as a packing for a gel chromatography.
