ABSTRACT:
The present invention relates to a crosslinked hyaluronic acid derivative in which the crosslinking has been achieved by means of reaction with a phosphorus-containing reagent, especially a derivative of an acid of phosphorus (V). The invention also relates to the methods of producing such a product as well as its use as a slow release depot for administration of hylaluronic acid or a medicament incorporated in the gel.
