ABSTRACT:
A cross-linked polyethylene insulated cable which is prepared by extrusion coating a polyethylene composition on a conductor, the polyethylene composition comprising polyethylene, more than 10% to less than 30% by weight of an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer having a vinyl acetate (hereinafter referred to as VA) content of about 28% to about 33% by weight, the EVA having an average particle diameter of less than 1.7 .mu.m (average of maximum 5 values), and an organic peroxide, and thereafter cross-linking the thus coated polyethylene composition.
