ABSTRACT:
The invention provides epoxy resins having the following structure: ##STR1## The cross-linked epoxy resins have non-linear optical properties. The group "Z" constitutes a nonlinear optical chromophone having stilbene, azo, azomethine or propargyl moieties as linking units.
