The crawler type traveling apparatus5includes a pivot shaft6provided on a vehicle body having a hydraulic source in a protruding state, a track frame51rocking around and pivotably supported against this pivot shaft6, a final reduction gear53including a sprocket531engaged by a crawler56and provided at an end part of this track frame51, and a hydraulic motor57for driving the sprocket531of the final reduction gear53for rotation, in which the hydraulic motor57is provided on a vehicle inner side with respect to the final reduction gear53.
