A coupling device forming a hinge pin for interconnecting connector eleme secured to conveyor belt ends, has a threaded end for facilitating the driving of the hinge pin into a channel formed by the connector elements when these connector elements intermesh. The threaded end of the hinge pin may be a deparate element that can be attached to a hinge pin in a remobable manner.
