ABSTRACT:
A gas turbine engine of the type comprising a compressor and an expansion rbine of which the respective rotors are mutually joined together in rotation and in axial traction by a main coupling device. The engine includes, in addition, a safety coupling device joining together these two rotors only in axial traction but allowing them to turn one with respect to the other in case of accidental fracture of the main coupling device.
