ABSTRACT:
Provided are ultraviolet stabilizers which are diphenylmethane compounds of the formula: ##STR1## wherein: R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 are independently C.sub.1 to C.sub.8 alkyl, cyclopentyl, cyclohexyl or cumyl; and X is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, halogen, C.sub.1 to C.sub.12 alkyl and C.sub.1 to C.sub.12 alkoxy. The invention also pertains to a process for their preparation and stabilized polymer blends containing the stabilizers.
