ABSTRACT:
A device for surgery of the cornea comprising:an annular base (100) for fixing the apparatus to the eye of a patient;a cutter head (200) comprising a body (200a) and a blade (201) suitable for being displaced along a plane trajectory parallel to the annular base (100);guide means (106) for guiding the cutter head (200) relative to the base (100);drive means (302) for driving the blade (201) in the cutter head (200) with reciprocating linear motion parallel to its cutting edge (201b); anddrive means (303) for driving the cutter head (200) relative to the annular base (100) along said trajectory.Said drive means (302, 303) comprise two independent motor units surmounting the cutter head and having mutually parallel outlet shafts (306, 310) perpendicular to the plane of the trajectory of the cutter head (200).
