ABSTRACT:
An improved magnetic core element for use in an electrodynamic rotary machine. The core element, either a stator or rotor depending upon the design of the machine, is provided with a slot distribution such that when the rotor rotates with respect to the stator and a balanced energy field is provided therebetween, at least the lowest generated harmonics, will be substantially zero.
