ABSTRACT:
A copying machine for making copies on individual copy sheets includes a fire-extinguishing snuffer located downstream of a fuser. The fire-extinguishing snuffer comprises a pair of flat metallic plates for defining between them a flat-shaped 0.1 to 0.125 inch gap and guiding wire springs for guiding the leading edges of individual copy sheets into this gap while not impeding the flow of the copy sheets.
