A copper base alloy, which is resistant or immune to carburization, metal dusting and coking, and resistant to oxidation, the alloy having the following composition (all contents in weight %):Al >0-15Si 0-6Mg 0-6one or more of the group of Rare Earth Metal (REM), yttrium, hafnium, zirconium, lanthanum, cerium) up to 0.3 wt. % each;Cu balance; andnormally occurring alloying additions and impurities.
