ABSTRACT:
Copolymers prepared by free radical polymerization of a C.sub.12 --C.sub.60 -.alpha.-olefin with a carboxylic acid of the formula CH.sub.2 .dbd.CR.sup.1 --COOH, a carboxylic acid ester of the formula CH.sub.2 .dbd.CR.sup.1 --COOR.sup.2 and, if appropriate, a styrene compound prove to be highly active lubricants and release agents in polymers, in particular in polyvinyl chloride, which scarcely influence the transparency of the polymers.
