ABSTRACT:
The present invention provides a carrier elevating apparatus suitable for a low floor type conveying apparatus with carriers. A cam rail36extends along a horizontal running track, along which a carriage runs. The carriage includes a deck1, on which an erectable cross-linking mechanism3is mounted. The cross-linking mechanism3supports and vertically moves a carrier2A. The cross-linking mechanism3includes a link14aand a link14b. The link14ais supported at its lower end pivotably by the deck1through a fixed horizontal pivot shaft16. The links14aand14bare connected together at their middle points by a fulcrum shaft15, which is parallel with the pivot shaft16. The link14ais fitted with a driven member25between the shafts15and16. An elevator27is supported vertically movably by the deck1. The elevator27includes a bearing member32fixed to its top and a cam follower34supported by its bottom. The driven member25is supported by the bearing member32horizontally movably relative to it. The cam follower34can follow the cam rail36, lifting the elevator27, so that the cross-linking mechanism3erects to elevate the carrier2A.
