ABSTRACT:
The present invention10discloses a convertible cape having a moisture impermeable body with straps30having at least one fastening member32positioned on at least one strap30distal end. The present invention10can be converted from a collapsed or cape-like form22to an expanded or bag-like form16having a cavity38therein. The moisture impermeable body is comprised of two planar sheets58, 60of malleable moisture impermeable material having spaced apart side walls56positioned between the sheets and connected thereto. The opposing moisture impermeable sheets have spaced apart side walls56which are connected at both distal ends thereby forming a cavity38having an open end42and straps30. The open end42is sealed during processing having a means for expanding the parallel coplanar malleable moisture impermeable materials such as a tear strip or perforation34whereby the enclosure can be selectively expanded by removal of the tear strip or separation along the perforation34.
