ABSTRACT:
Synthesis gas is converted to aromatic hydrocarbons over an intimate mixture of catalysts comprising a first component of Zno-Cr.sub.2 O.sub.3 mixed catalyst, characterized by catalytic activity for the reduction by hydrogen of carbon monoxide, wherein the Zn.Cr atomic ratio is less than about 4:1 and a second component selected from a selective class of acidic crystalline aluminosilicates having a silica:alumina ratio greater than 12:1 and a pore dimension greater than about 5 Angstroms.
