ABSTRACT:
Method for the conversion of butadiene (1,3) comprising contacting butadiene (1,3) with zinc iodide, zinc bromide (or mixtures thereof) and a reactant selected from methanol, dimethyl ether, or mixtures thereof, at a temperature of from about 180.degree. C to about 450.degree. C.
