ABSTRACT:
Oxidation of primary amines to primary hydroxylamines using a dialkyl dioxirane is described. This new method is utilized to prepare aliphatic non-axial hydroxylamines from corresponding primary amino-substituted sugar derivatives and hydroxylamino acid derivatives.
