ABSTRACT:
A cigarette smoke filter element is provided which permits a higher level of flavor to reach the smoker during initial smoking of the cigarette and consequently an enhanced flavor-to-tar ratio, by employing an elongate filter of microfine fibers which is provided with openings therethrough at the upstream end.
