ABSTRACT:
A novel leakproof ribbon cartridge system includes an ink reservoir and wick which, together, are configured to form a closed system such that ink is constantly recirculated between the reservoir and the wick. In addition, the ribbon cartridge includes a spring apparatus for providing a print ribbon to the wick only when the ribbon cartridge is in operation.
