ABSTRACT:
In a continuous caster including a crucible for metal to be melted and a mold coupled to the crucible, the crucible and the mold can be screwed together so that easy removal and replacement of the mold is possible. A gasket of zirconium oxide is clamped between the mold and the crucible.
